Please take school holidays into account if you wish to drop off your documents at the schools that you applied to.
Drop off before or after the school holidays.

If your application is for Grade 1: UPLOAD the documents on the GDE portal within 7 days
ALL school administrators are able to access the portal and view your documents. Keep an eye on your GDE account to see if the administrator has verified your documents. This may take a few weeks due to the influx of applications received.

2024 APPLICATIONS FOR ALL GRADES:
MEC Chiloane announced the upcoming 2024 Online Admissions Commencement & Process: 15 June at 08:00.
Grade 2 to 7 Application Forms will be available on the Glenanda Primary School website, under the Admissions tab. A hard copy of the application form will also be available during school time, from the gate. (Please do not duplicate the process).
Criteria for placement is as per the regulations, policies & guidelines (available on the GDE online portal welcome page).
ALL CERTIFIED, COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS MUST BE DROPPED IN THE 'DROP-BOX' AT THE GATE. (During School hours).

Please allow the process of application to be finalised before pre-empting a response/meeting regarding the outcome of the application.
Grade 1 criteria for placement is as follows: Select the following options online when making the application for your new Grade 1 learner in line with the PLACEMENT CRITERIA listed below:
HOME ADDRESS closest to the school is the first option.
SIBLING - This is the second option and second placement criteria for applicants. (If you have a Sibling AND live in the school feeder area, you MUST select HOME ADDRESS as your first option of placement. If you do not live in the school feeder area, but have a sibling at the school, you must select SIBLING OPTION as your first option for placement.)
WORK IN THE FEEDER AREA: Refers to applicant parents who are OFFICE BASED in the school feeder area and can provide original support from the employer to the school. This is the third placement criteria IF SPACE IS STILL AVAIALABLE after option 1 & 2 are exhausted.
SCHOOL WITHIN A 30km RADIUS: Refers to a school that is not near your home or work address, but is still a parent applicant choice of school. This is the last option IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE and criteria 1-3 have been observed.
Apply to a MINIMUM of 3 Schools and a MAXIMUM of 5 Schools to avoid disappointment.
The online system populates the relevant schools in accordance to your choice of application and you then select the schools that meet your requirements.

NB: When dropping documents at Glenanda Primary School (White Drop-Box at the Admin Gate)
Attach ALL the certified copies together with the Application Form
A white receipt needs to be taken showing your cell phone number & Date & Time of the delivery (As your proof of submission). The Receipt Book is at the Drop-Box.
If you already have a reference number, write the reference number on the document submitted.
The Drop-Box is emptied at 12 on a school day.
Confirmation of receipt of your documents will be sent within 5-7 working days.
