Application For 2025 Grade R, 2-7 open at 08:00 on the 11 July 2024. Forms will be available at the school and here on our website. Applications for Grade R, 2-7 closes on the 30 August, 2024 at 12:00.
NEW SIBLING APPLICATIONS:
NB: If you intend to apply for Grade 2-7 new applicant siblings, please apply for the youngest applicant at the current school of the 'oldest sibling' first, if you want both learners at the same school. Remember: the next-year-grades accommodate current registered learners for the following academic year, then learners who repeat the grade are accommodated. Only then, if there is space available, the waiting list is consulted and the next learner who has met the placement criteria, is then placed in the grade. These spaces are usually for learners who transfer from outside of the province and who do not have a school in Gauteng. Glenanda Primary School is currently at capacity in all grades. A Re-registration process takes place in June, 2024 to see how many learners will be leaving the school at the end of this year. A waiting list is in place for all new applications and this list is where we source new placements from when space is available in the grade.

Grade 1 criteria for placement is as follows: Select the following options online when making the application for your new Grade 1 learner in line with the PLACEMENT CRITERIA listed below: (Criteria for placement is applied across the Grades for all new learners who apply at Glenanda Primary School).
Please Remember:
Glenanda is a high-pressure school for applications. Learners who are in the current Grade are accepted to the next year via a re-registration process that takes place during the current year. Learners who are retained in the Grade are then accommodated and then the waiting list for all grades will be consulted according to the Criteria for Placement.
HOME ADDRESS closest to the school is the first option.
SIBLING - This is the second option and second placement criteria for applicants. (If you have a Sibling AND live in the school feeder area, you MUST select HOME ADDRESS as your first option of placement. If you do not live in the school feeder area, but have a sibling at the school, you must select SIBLING OPTION as your first option for placement.)
WORK IN THE FEEDER AREA: Refers to applicant parents who are OFFICE BASED in the school feeder area and can provide original support from the employer to the school. This is the third placement criteria IF SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE after option 1 & 2 are exhausted.
SCHOOL WITHIN A 30km RADIUS: Refers to a school that is not near your home or work address, but is still a parent applicant choice of school. This is the last option IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE and criteria 1-3 have been observed.
